Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Star Rating: 4/5
Spice Level: 2.5/5
This book is an amazing dystopian about a girl named Lena who lives in world where love is seen as a disease. She is about to have 'The Cure,' a procedure that fixes any large emotions, more specifically involving love, when she meets Alex. He is magnetic and Lena can't help but fall for him. But when their plans to be together fail, Lena is forced to make a decision that changes everything about the life she's ever known.
This book is amazingly emotional. You can't help but get involved with the characters, their lives, and the setting as a whole. It feels super relatable to society today as well. I really enjoyed it. I will say that the spicy stuff isn't really my thing. It's mostly closed door with a few things mentioned here and there. Physical contact is a big no in this world, but doing any form of it is seen as rebellion.
Overall, I think this book is really good. It's probably not something a younger teen would like, but 16 and older would be better suited for it. It's part of a series, which is really good as a whole. Definitely something a parent and teen could read together, and both enjoy as well.
Happy Reading!
